Three districts of Punjab province Khushab, Jhang and Kasur have been termed sensitive and Rangers have been called out to check any mishap. Heavy contingents of police force would remain present outside and inside of polling stations in the areas.

All Councillors and Nazimeen who were shifted to Bhurban, Murree, Abbottabad and other health resorts returned homes on Wednesday night. They were taken to those places to keep them under their control so that opposition nominee could not contact them. Official candidate for City District Multan Mian Faisal Mukhtar would easily sweep the poll with overwhelming majority, as his rival candidate Imran Dogar has no potential to face him. However, tough competition is expected in Mumtazabad town between Zahid Bahar Hashmi, spouse of MNA Memona Hashmi, and Mian Muhammad Jamil.
Similarly, in Shah Rukan-e-Alam Town, Rai Arif son of MPA and District President of PML-Q Rai Mansab Ali will face Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi's younger brother Makhdoom Mureed Hussain Qureshi.
