Two cargo planes carrying relief goods and trained rescue workers for the help of the earthquake victims from Iran and the United States arrived here in the early hours on Monday.
The brotherly country of Iran has despatched 500 tents, 500 blankets and life saving drugs. Iran has also sent teams of rescue workers and medical doctors to help the quake-affected people across the Northern Pakistan.
Iranian Ambassador in Pakistan received the relief goods and handed over to the Pakistan Army officials at Chaklala Airbase.
The cargo plane of the US Air Force carried blankets, medicines, medical equipments and clean drinking water. The US Embassy staff in Islamabad received the goods and handed over to the Pakistani authorities.
France has sent an aircraft C-135, carrying a 25-member rescue team along with necessary equipment and two trained dogs for the search of injured persons in connection with the earthquake that hit the northern regions of Pakistan.
The aircraft landed at Chaklala Airbase and the French rescue team left for the earthquake affected areas.
Several other aircraft carrying relief assistance are preparing to leave shortly for Pakistan, said the sources at French embassy.
