Union Bank donates Rs 15 million

The Union Bank Limited has donated Rs 15 million to the "President's Relief Fund" for earthquake victims. The Union Bank President and CEO, Shaukat Tarin, presented the cheque to Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz in Islamabad.
A spokesman of the bank said on Wednesday that Tarin, while presenting the cheque to the Prime Minister, shared the grief and sorrow of the nation in the aftermath of the worst ever natural calamity that had hit hard the northern parts of the country mainly Azad Kashmir and the NWFP resulting in thousands of deaths and displacement of even greater number of people.
In the meantime, all Union Bank employees have also responded to the call by contributing their one-day's salary to the quake relief efforts.
