Two Egyptian military planes have brought in relief and humanitarian assistance to Pakistan, while the third aircraft will arrive on Friday. The assistance includes tents, blankets, medicines and food.
President Mubarak in response to the call of assistance by President Pervez Musharraf gave immediate instructions to send additional relief assistance to Pakistan.
"The assistance reflects the utmost concern of the Egyptian people over the destruction caused by the earthquake," a press release by the Egyptian embassy said.
