Punjab Information Technology Board has set up 24 hours call center and website for overseas Pakistanis to provide them information of earthquake relief operations and collect donations for the President Relief Funds in accordance with the direction of Chief Minister Punjab, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.
The expatriate Pakistanis living in the USA can donate funds to the President Relief Fund by dialing a toll free number 1-866-619-0024 through credit card.
This was disclosed by Chairman Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Rizwan Ameen Sheikh while presiding over a meeting held to facilitate overseas Pakistanis intend to participate in relief activities here on Thursday.
Chairman PITB said that The Resource Group (TRG) has joined hands with PITB in reaching out to eager overseas Pakistanis and donors.
He said that public and private sector had collaborated for the provision of relief to the earthquake affected. He said that 24 hours call centers would be instrumental in strengthening the initiatives launched for the provision of relief and it would result in substantial increase in donations for the earthquake victims.
FLOUR SENT TO QUAKE-HIT AREAS Pakistan Flourmills Association has dispatched wheat flour worth Rs 20 million for distribution among the people of quake-hit areas. In a press statement here on Thursday, Mumtaz Sheikh, Chairman of the association said that his body would play its due role for extending help to earthquake victims. He urged the people to help the victims in this hour of need.
