Cellstar reports third-quarter loss

CellStar Corp on October 11 reported a consolidated net loss of $7.6 million, or 37 cents per share, in the third quarter, compared with a loss of $14.2 million, or 69 cents per share, during the same period in 2004.
CellStar posted third-quarter revenue of $277.9 million, an increase of 38 percent over last year's third-quarter revenue of $201.2 million. The net losses in both years included losses from discontinued operations in China, the company said.
