As armies of Pakistan and India exchange fire across the border, the newly turned Indian national Adnan Sami found himself an ample opportunity to grab some much needed media attention.
The singer did enjoy some media coverage after he posted controversial tweets on Friday, expressing his full support to the Indian government and it’s Army, over India claimed surgical strikes.
Clarifying his statement, Adnan again threw vitriol towards Pakistan, saying Pakistan should thank India for “a brilliant, successful, mature and strategic strike against terrorism in … Kashmir, last week.”
“My tweets were against a common enemy. An enemy that has been hurting both the nations and the rest of the world, too. If anything, Pakistan should thank India for finishing the terrorists,” he added, quoted the Hindustan Times.
The singer further showed his patriotism towards his newly adopted home, as he praised Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the claimed operation, which has been straight forwardly rejected by the Pakistan Army.
“I think the way our PM carried off the operation was incredible. He had so much pressure on him to do something about it, and he just held his nerve and got it done. I was proud of our PM that day and that’s why I took to Twitter to congratulate him. I never expected that my tweet will generate such a response,” he informed.
