The lineup of vessels to load sugar in Brazilian ports rose to 43 from 40 last week, shipping agent Williams said. Williams said in a weekly report that 19 vessels were lined up in the southern port of Santos, down from 22 last week. In Paranagua, there were 10 vessels, the same as last week.
Cane harvesting in the centre-south, which accounts for 85 percent of national output, is more than 75 percent completed.
Santos accounted for 55 percent of sugar tonnage being loaded in the ports of South America's largest country.
