President of Baskent University, Ankara, Turkey, Dr Mehment Haberal, a friend of Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT), has sent a second plane loaded with essential medication, equipment and relief goods from Turkey for quake-victims.
According to a statement of SIUT issued here on Sunday, these goods included 5 dialysis machines, essential disposables, surgical material, medicines, food supplies and clothes. These 11 tones of goods have arrived in two plane shipments. The second one arrived on October 20. The equipment and medicine supplies have improved the ability of two disaster relief units of SIUT at Abbotabad and Muzaffarabad to give medical treatment to wounded people.
The patients with multiple problems, included orthopaedic, gynecological and surgical, are being shifted to SIUT at Karachi.
