The annual internal English debating competition 2005 of GC University Lahore was held at the Bokhari Auditorium of the varsity under the auspices of GCU Debating Society.
As many as 40 students of the varsity participated in competition. Abdul Rehman of F.A (1st year) class stood first, Fahad Noor of F.Sc (1st year) class stood second while Hassan Asghar of F.Sc (1st year) class got third position in the contest. Essam Anwar was given the consolation prize.
President of the GCU Debating Society Sana Taskeen Gulzar presided over the function. Chief guest, Dean of Sciences, Professor Dr M.A. Kashmiri while addressing the contestants said that such competitions augment the speaking skills of the young Ravians and enhance their capacity building. He lauded the work done by the debating society of the varsity.
