Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has decided to launch a programme for Computerisation of FDA record and establishment of an efficient, transparent, and accessible land rights recording system of Public Housing Colonies to reduce litigation, bring about long-lasting tenure security and promote an enabling investment climate through establishment of commercial projects.
According to Director P & D of FDA, this project would lead to widespread support, adoption and use of reliable land registration procedures according to the direction of Punjab government, which would be implemented from December 2005.
The project design would follow a two-fold approach (computerisation of FDA record and operation of the internal system) outlined by the FDA Authority.
Firstly, the identification, assessment and removal of institutional, technical and regulatory constraints that could prevent the FDA from obtaining full benefits from the computerisation of land records of Public Housing Colonies.
Secondly, through significant improvements to establish an internal operation system to remove hardships of the citizens/allotees of the plots etc.
