No embezzlement in the foreign relief funds would be tolerated, moreover a parliamentary committee comprising MNAs, MPAs and Azad Kashmir leadership should be constituted to monitor the distribution of relief funds. Senator Professor Sajid Mir, Ameer of Jamiate Ahle Hadith, warned the government during a press conference held here on Sunday.
He said that it should be made sure that the money was spent on the earthquake victims. "In future both the President and the Prime Minister should celebrating Eid the quake-hit areas, as many local complained that they had to suffer due to high security," he added.
According to him, for the relief of the victims, the party would construct 20,000 houses, 200 mosques, 10 schools and three orphanages. Moreover, 16,117 survivors have been given cash and other relief goods worth Rs 32.5 million. Jamiate Ahle Hadith was also operating a hospital, school and distribution centre at Balakot.
He praised the Muslim world for donating generously and highlighted the contribution of banned organisations and outfits, which has done excellent work in the quake-hit areas. "All the religious parties would attend a conference in Libya and during their visit they would also campaign for the support of the earthquake victims," he told the newsmen.
He condemned the government for allowing the Nato forces to the Azad Kashmir and thinking of accepting relief from Israel.
