Dr Ishrat Husain, Governor, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), will inaugurate a three-day training workshop titled "Micro Finance Regulation and Supervision" on November 16, 2005 at 9:am at the Institute of Bankers Pakistan (IBP), Karachi.
The workshop is organised by the SBP from November 16 to 18 to enhance the capacity building in micro finance. The officers of SBP, representatives from Micro Finance Banks, NGOs, Micro Finance Institutions (MFIs), Apex Institution and MFIs Network will attend the workshop.
It may be recalled that the SBP under the MFIs Ordinance 2001 has been entrusted with the responsibility of licensing, regulation and supervision of Micro Finance Banks.
