Foreign office spokesperson, Tasneem Aslam has said that there is no mention of any time-frame in the joint India-Pakistan statement as to how long the five points at the Line of Control will remain open for the cross movement of Kashmiris.
"We expect that it should be a long-term plant the FO spokesperson told Radio Tehran." To a question she said the basic objective of opening the five crossing points across the LoC was not for aid activities rather they have been opened for the movement of Kashmiris from both the sides.
"That was the primary purpose and it was proposal of President General Pervez Musharraf", she said.
She said, according to President Musharraf's proposal no difficult procedure was supposed to be involved in this regard and the Kashmiris were to move across the LoC by showing any document like driving license or certificate of state subjects.
She said that Pakistan was expecting that all the five points will remain open every day adding but India say that due to its administrative difficulties it would not be able to open each point daily.
She expressed the hope that India will be able by December 12 to overcome its administrative difficulties and these points will remain for the people.
