Hurriyat Conference Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq would meet President Pervez Musharraf on the sidelines of an extraordinary summit of the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) in Saudi Arabia on December 7 to 8.
Hurriyat said the proposals of demilitarisation of Jammu and Kashmir and "self-rule" would come up for discussion at the meeting, adding they would also discuss the emerging new thoughts about the resolution of the vexed Kashmir issue.
Mirwaiz will also brief President Musharraf of his recent meetings with US Congressmen in New Delhi led by noted human rights activist Dan Burton.
This would be their fourth interaction in the past eight months.
They had met in New Delhi on April 17 this year, in Islamabad on June 7 and in New York on September 17, when General Musharraf was there to attend the 60th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and Mirwaiz attended an OIC summit.
The two-day special summit on December 7 and 8, called by King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, will discuss challenges, including divisions in the Muslim world, the Iraq war and alleged European defamation of Islam.
The summit would discuss ways and means of strengthening of Islamic unity and solidarity for an effective response to the multiple challenges facing the Muslims in the 21st century.
The third extraordinary summit would be preceded by a preparatory meeting of OIC ministers of Foreign Affairs on December 6.
The Hurriyat Conference enjoys an observer status at the OIC meetings. Mirwaiz is also expected to visit Istanbul, Turkey before the OIC summit to participate in a conference organised by an international non-governmental organisation. Mirwaiz Farooq will return Srinagar on December 8.
