Senate Chairman Mohammadmian Soomro would lead Pakistan delegation of parliamentarians to attend two-day meeting of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) scheduled to be held in Delhi from December 17.
The delegation would comprise Speakers of all four provincial assemblies, members of both National Assembly and the Senate.
Besides attending CPA sessions, the delegates would call on Indian President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and other senior political leaders including the Congress president Sonia Gandhi and BJP president L K Advani.
Parliamentarians would leave for India on December 14 till December 20.
Diplomatic and political circles are giving much importance to the visit of the parliamentarians ahead of the resumption of third round of composite dialogue process between both countries next month (January).
Another delegation led by federal Petroleum Secretary Ahmad Waqar would also visit Delhi on December 16 to 17 to hold discussion on the Iran-Pakistan-India gas pipeline project.
Yet another team of Pakistani officials would visit Delhi on December 20 and 21 to discuss survey reports of Sir Creek area. Both countries demarcated their boundaries in the disputed Sir Creek area of marshy Rann of Kutch last January.
