Official sources told Business Recorder here on Sunday the concept of setting up of these Musalihat Anjumans (MAs) was to reduce the tendency of litigation and mutual disputes.
This forum will also help people avoiding long, complicated and costly litigation while women will be the prime beneficiaries of Musalihat Anjumans (MAs) because they usually cannot afford to travel long outside their villages to approach a civil or criminal court for redressal of their grievances. The government has directed all District Nazims of the Punjab to take proper and effective steps for the establishment and functioning of Musalihat Anjumans (MAs) at Union Council level in their respective districts. The regular functioning of these MAs will not only provide free of cost, simple and effective justice to the masses but also help reduce the burden of the courts.
