Justice M Bilal of the Lahore High Court while adjourning the hearing in a contempt of court proceedings against Allama Iqbal Town Nazim, directed the office to place other petitions of the petitioner before the court.
Petitioner Saeed Aasi had challenged the action of holding cattle market in the residential area of Sabzazar Scheme.
The court had directed to remove the market from the residential areas, but the respondent Nazim ignored the court orders and did not shift the market from the residential area.
The petitioner, therefore, approached the court again and prayed to initiate contempt of court proceedings against the respondent.
