Pakistan People's Party would welcome the construction of Kalabagh dam if it is constructed with the consensus on all the four provinces and government should put this issue in the Parliament for debate instead of dividing the nation into factions, said Qasim Zia Provincial President of PPP Punjab.
While talking to newsmen at the residence of Syed Rafi Shah in Shershah on Thursday. He said that whole nation would resist if the dams were constructed without consensus.

He said that PPP was contesting by election in four districts while in Sheikhupura PML-N/ARD nominee was contesting.
Though we have won the election at voters level but we would have to see computer results. He said that Show of Hand for the election of Naib Nazims was in fact a no-confidence on the elected councillors.
Earlier he addressed a meeting in Shershah which was also attended by Naveed Chaudhry, Provincial Information Secretary, Malik Salahuddin Dogar, Khurshid Ahmed Khan, Khawaja Rizwan Alam, Malik Arshan Ran, MPA, Mohsin Qureshi (District President of PPPP Muzaffargarh), Khawaja Mudassar (Dera Ghazi Khan), Chaudhry Sarwar Abbas (Rajanpur) Engr: Bilal Khar (Kot Addu) Hashim Khan Babur.
