President reassures transparency in reconstruction

President General Pervez Musharraf has reiterated the government's commitment to ensuring transparency in reconstruction and rehabilitation processes in the quake-hit areas.
He was speaking to Minister for Interior, Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, DG Military Land and Cantonment Major General Nusrat Naeem and noted fashion designer, Mahmood Bhatti, who separately presented cheques to the President for President's Earthquake Relief Fund on Saturday.
A cheque of Rs350 million was presented by Interior Minister, a cheque of Rs 29 million by Major General Nusrat Naeem while Mahmood Bhatti presented a cheque of Rs10 million.
President Musharraf lauded the humanitarian services of the donors.
