Muhammad Arif Khan, District Co-ordination Officer Jhang has issued suspension from job orders of six officials during his surprise visit to tehsil Chiniot.
At the Basic Health Unit Hast Khewa, DCO found Medical Officer Dr Muhammad Naeemullah, LHV Rubina Bushra, peon Falak Sher and watchman Allah Ditta absent from their duties. The BHU was also found in desolate condition with no sign of tree plantation while the people damaged boundary wall for a passage.
Moreover, he also found UC Hast Khewa office secretaries Muhammad Yar and Muhammad Riaz absent and ordered their suspension.
UC Secretary Ghulam Muhammad told the DCO that the two were on leave but they had marked their presence on attendance register. DCO directed local government assistant director to place absentees under suspension and get an explanation from Ghulam Muhammad for misstating the facts.
Besides, he also found the Veterinary Dispensary Bakhshwala locked since reportedly no veterinary officer had been posted there. Only one official visits the dispensary once a week.
Assistant Veterinarian Muhammad Siddique was found absent from his duty and the DCO directed the authority concerned to take action against him under E&D/RSO 2001.
Later, he visited government Primary School Hast Khewa, which was dilapidated and occupied by the local people. He asked concerned officer for an explanation in this regard.
During inspection of construction work of a road from Pungoo-Aminpur Road to Kot Wasewa Jani Shah via Tibbi Kamoka, he observed sub-standard materials was being used there and directed the Works and Services EDO that further payment to the contractor should only be made after getting improvement of works.
The DCO also inspected construction work, being carried out at Boys Primary School Kot Rehmoon under Education Sector Reforms Programme and expressed his satisfaction over the work.
Earlier, DCO Muhammad Arif Khan held a meeting of tehsil officers of different departments at the Civil Rest House and directed them to do every thing possible to achieve the uplift targets ffor the district government.
