MULTAN: District Officer Agriculture (Extension) Chaudhary Naseer Ahmad has said that wheat sowing target for Multan district had been set at 462,000 acres.
He was speaking at a refresher course on the use of latest technology for enhancing wheat production, here on Saturday.
He said that diseases-free wheat seed worth Rs 300 million was being distributed among farmers free-of-cost through draw.
Executive District Officer Agriculture Shafqat Hussain Bhatti said on the occasion that awareness about latest wheat production technologies would be helpful for better wheat yielding. He said that over 100,000 wheat seed bags were being distributed at 23,890 villages of the province to enhance the wheat production.
Literature copies were also distributed among the participants.
