US stocks edged lower on Friday as chip maker Intel Corp, a Dow industrials component, cut its revenue outlook and the 10-year Treasury note yield rose to its highest in nearly a year, adding to interest-rate worries.
The Dow Jones industrial average was down 7.12 points, or 0.06 percent, at 11,018.39. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was down 0.95 of a point, or 0.07 percent, at 1,288.19. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 0.57 of a point, or 0.02 percent, at 2,310.54.
