Sehba meets Laura

First Lady Begum Sehba Musharraf and the US First Lady Laura Bush met here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr. Begum Rukhsana Shaukat Aziz and the Advisor to Prime Minister on Women's Development Nilofar Bakhtiar were also present.
Welcoming the US First Lady, Begum Sehba Musharraf informed the visiting guest about the steps Pakistan has taken for the empowerment of women.
The US First Lady showed keen interest in the empowerment of women, particularly, their holding high offices and generally in their socio-economic uplift.
