Russian dairy and juice maker Wimm-Bill-Dann expects good results for 2005 and could start paying dividends as the firm had corrected past mistakes, it said on Tuesday.
"The company showed very good results in 2005," Wimm-Bill-Dann's Chief Executive Officer Sergei Palestinian told journalists. "We believe the year 2006 will not only see an end to falling sales, but sales will also rise compared to 2005."
Wimm-Bill-Dann used to be the leader on Russia's juice market but has recently been losing its position to Lebedyansky and other producers. Analysts have blamed its managers, including Palestinian, who is responsible for distribution, logistics and brand management, for the company's faltering performance in the juice segment of its business.
