The Embassy of Japan will celebrate "Japan Week" from March 15 to 21 by organising various cultural events in befitting manner, said a release of the Embassy here on Tuesday.
An 11-member artists delegation from Japan would arrive in Pakistan on March 15. Major events of the week include a Japanese tea ceremony, Ikebana demonstration, music calligraphy, an exhibition of Japanese art work entitled "Asian Art Now", and children art competition/exhibition.
The Japan Embassy has made special arrangements for demonstrations by visiting Japanese artists at the Lok Virsa Museum on March 18 at 11:00 am and Alhamra Hall, Lahore on March 21, it added.
The children art gallery will be inaugurated on March 17 at 11:00 am at Aabpara Community Centre in which more than 1,000 paintings from Japan and 104 paintings of Pakistani school children will be jointly displayed.
