The Kashmiri leadership should be included in the talks process, only then a viable solution of the issue could be found, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman Yasin Malik said speaking in a private TV channel programme.
"We are for a flexible solution of the Kashmir issue," he said adding such solution could only be found out through table talks.
He said, "When we demand for resolving the dispute through talks, we would have to find a solution acceptable to all three parties, India, Pakistan and the people of Kashmir." The talks are so far being held between Pakistan and India. The people of Kashmir have not been included in the talks, he added.
He further said, "I have guessed through my meeting with the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh that India has set a dialogue format for the Kashmiris.
To a question, Yasin Malik said the Indian government should hold talks with the real representatives of the Kashmiri people.
As regards general elections in the state, he said all elections held in Occupied Kashmir were sham and rigged. They could not be the substitute of the right of self-determination for the people of Kashmir. They are meant for only administrative purpose, he added.
Yasin Malik further said India should associate the people of Kashmir with the dialogue process, only then a viable solution of the issue could be found.
