A four-member Pakistan delegation of Federal Investigation Agency is stated to arrive here on Monday to hold two-day technical level talks with Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) of India from March 21.
The talks are in pursuance of the understanding reached at home secretary-level talks, held in August 2005 during the second round of the Composite Dialogue process.
CBI Director Vijay Shanker will lead Indian side, while Pakistan's delegation will be headed by FIA Director General Tariq Pervez at the technical-level parleys.
The talks will cover issues of concern for the two agencies, including human trafficking, arms smuggling, immigration-related matters, narcotics-related crime, criminal syndicates and other areas of interest.
The federal investigation agencies of Pakistan and India will hold two-day of talks in New Delhi on forming a joint working group to combat transnational crimes, FIA Director General Tariq Pervez had said in Islamabad.
The FIA chief, who will be leading a four-member team for the talks with the Indian Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had said the discussions would focus on setting up a joint working group and evolving a strategy to effectively combat human and drug-trafficking, smuggling and other organised crimes.
