Marketing Association of Pakistan (MAP), Lahore Chapter, is holding a two-day international marketing congress - Marcon 2006 - here from March 27. The theme of the congress, "New challenges, new initiatives" will cover branding, media advertising, international marketing and service marketing.
Federal Minister for Industries, Production and Special Initiatives Jehangir Tareen will inaugurate the congress, while Federal Minister for Privatisation and Investment Dr Hafeez Shaikh will chair the closing session, according to a press release.
Professor Vijay Mahajan of the University of Texas (Austin), among the world's top marketing gurus, will be the keynote speaker. Other speakers include Rizwan Jamil of Unilever, Tahir Malik of P&G, Prasoon Joshi of McCann Erikson, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mobilink Zohair Khaliq, A.C Nielsen CEO Khalid Siddiqui, Interflow Communications CEO Taher A Khan, S. Masood Hashmi of Orient McCann Erikson, Reckitt Benckiser CEO Ali Khan, Coca Cola Country Manager Nadeem-uz-Zaman, Haleeb Foods CEO Suleman Daud, Descon Chairman Razzak Dawood, Marketing Director of Tetra Pak (Pakistan) Limited Khaled Ismail, M Group CEO Andre Nair and Geo TV Network CEO Ibrahim Rehman.
