Bid to smuggle hashish foiled

The Divisional Intelligence Excise, Karachi, in a successful operation, foiled an attempt of narcotic smuggling and recovered 2,800 rods of Hashish along with the arrest of one person on Saturday.
The DIO Excise, Aslam Jatoi, had received information that an attempt will be made to bring contraband Charas into the city for smuggling abroad as we'll for supply here. Acting on the information a vigil was mounted around Kale Pul area since morning and on pointation by an informer, a taxi No JM- 6850 was intercepted.
A search resulted in the recovery of 2,800 rods weighing 33 kg, of Charas wrapped in two cloth bags from the boot of the taxi.
