Wheat futures at the Chicago Board of Trade were higher at midmorning on Wednesday on a short-covering bounce and optimism about US wheat exports, traders said.
The Kansas City wheat market led the way up, rallying from oversold conditions.
As of 11:10 am CST (1710 GMT), CBOT May wheat was up 4 cents at $3.45-1/4 per bushel, with deferred months up 1-1/2 to 3-1/2 cents.
R.J. O'Brien bought 300 July and Fimat USA bought 300 May, traders said, while Calyon sold at least 600 May.
