A member of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) has challenged the recent increase in sugar prices before the Lahore High Court (LHC) with prayer to the court to direct the respondent government to take action against the government officials responsible for sugar crisis.
The petitioner, M.D. Tahir also prayed to the court to lease out the sugar mills to Jamaat ud Dawa, Al-Rashid Trust, Imran Khan and Ibrarul Haq or give their control to Chief Justice of Pakistan. He also prayed to the court to direct the respondent government to produce the list of sugar mills with the names of their owners.
