A 4-day paintings and posters exhibition organised by the Institute of Arts and Design, University of Sindh in connection with Founder's Week programmes on its second day inaugurated on Monday.
The Vice Chancellor of Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur Dr A.R. Malik who was chief guest opened the exhibition. The number of colourful paintings of the great scholar and philosopher Allama I.I. Kazi and his wife Mrs Elsa Kazi as well as on different topics of the life prepared by the artists and students of the institute displayed in exhibition at the faculty of arts.
An inauguration ceremony was also organised by the faculty of arts and the institute jointly, which was attended by the members of syndicate, deans of the faculties, heads of the institutes and departments, officers of various sections and number of students of institutes and other departments.
Dr Malik speaking on this occasion lauded services of great scholar Allama I.I. Kazi and said that it is duty of the university alumnus, teachers and students to pay homage to scholar who devoted his long part of life for building of this university. He said that the vision of the Allama I.I. Kazi was very clear towards community services through education, which benefit the mankind.
He said that he also listened the lecture of Allama Sahib for 2 hours time and it was a great moment, which has always been preserved in his mind. He said that dream of Allama Sahib will become university of now-a-days was actually a dream of that time and nobody was appreciating decision about selection of the site for construction of the university here.
