The Annual Flight Safety review of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) for the year 2005 was held here at Air Headquarters on Thursday. Air Chief Marshal Tanvir Mehmood Ahmed as Chief of the Air Staff, presided over the session.
During the review, the Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Flight Safety) Air Commodore Khalid Pervez Marwat and Director Flight Safety Group Captain Sheikh Saifullah gave an analysis of the Flight Safety Programme of the PAF.
The Deputy Chief of Air Staff (operations) Air Marshal Shahid Lateef presented a review of operational activities of the PAF.
In the end, the coveted Inter Base Flight Safety trophy for overall best performance was awarded to the PAF Base Mushaf.
In line with its traditions, the Flight Safety setup of PAF has produced commendable results in accident prevention in 2005. PAF was able to keep its annual accident rate below the average of the last many decades.
