The Punjab government will soon introduce a special package of incentives for the exporter to boost exports, as Sialkot city has assumed a model status for the developing world, after the development of its local cottage industries.
Punjab Minister for Industries Muhammad Ajmal Cheema has made this assurance to the business community while addressing a meeting of local traders, industrialists and exporters here on Tuesday. Sialkot District Nazim Muhammad Akmal Cheema was also present on this occasion.
The Provincial minister said the government would announce the long-term trade and export policies for the stability and promotion of national exports, adding the government agenda was aimed at paying special attention to the growth of exports. Ajmal Cheema said the government had focused on the provision of business-friendly atmosphere to the business community and on resolving their problems.
He said the government was also paying full attention on the establishment of new industries in Punjab on top priority basis and adequate efforts were being made for industrial promotion, especially cottage industries in the province.
He said that one window operation system would soon be introduced in Punjab to facilitate the general public, as it would help resolve many problems pertaining to taxation.
