US cocoa futures finished on positive ground Wednesday, boosted by trade and speculative buying amid lingering dollar weakness, market sources said.
The New York Board of Trade's active cocoa contract for July gained $10 to settle at $1,467 a tonne, after trading from $1,458 to $1,471 - inside the previous day's trading range. Back month cocoa futures climbed $8 to $11.
Front-month May which has been in delivery notice period since Monday, rose $12 to end at $1,459 a tonne.
