For global peace and harmony, all the human beings need to respect each others so as to avoid religious differences. This consensus was developed at a Seerat Conference, organised by the religious committee of the Alliance for Restoration of Democracy (ARD) and the Muslim Christian Federation here on Monday.
Among others, Jehangir Badr, Tehmina Doultana, Munir Hussain Gilani and Abdul Qadir Khumosh addressed the conference.
The speakers maintained that Holy Prophet (PBUH) preached justice, equality and respect of human beings. They said that followers of the Prophet (PBUH) must respect all the messengers of Allah and the people of other religions. They said that European countries instead of using slogan of terrorism, as weapon against Muslims should understand the problems confronted to the people of poor countries.
They said that European countries instead of protecting the rights of their people only should also respect the human rights of others.
They were of the view that European countries should force the dictators in Muslim countries to allow the people to run their affairs at their own. They said that those who raise voice against dictator for the rights of poor people in Pakistan were sent behind bar.
The speakers said that people of Pakistan, including political and religious leaders and workers must forge unity in their ranks for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan. They asked the government to raise the issue of blasphemous caricatures on all international platforms. Meanwhile, Tahaffuz-e-Namoos-e-Resalat women's wing also took out a procession to protest the blasphemous caricatures and Nishter Park incident in Karachi.
They demanded of the government to take concrete steps to stop blasphemous caricatures in future. They also demanded immediate arrest of the culprits involved in Nishter Park incident.
They also demanded of the government to withdraw the cases registered against Dr Sarfraz Naeemi and other workers of religious and political parties.
