PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif has said that he would come back to Pakistan within 10 days after completion of enrolment and reorganisation of the party at union council level, claimed Rana Noor-ul-Hassan City president who met him in London along with his son Rana Mehmood-ul-Hassan MNA.
He said that Mian Nawaz Sharif is striving in co-operation with its Alliance for Restoration of Democracy (ARD) allies to establish a new political contract in the country.
According to Rana Noor-ul-Hassan, Mian Sharif had shut the doors of party for "Lotas" and looters and they would not be accepted in any case. He said that these political contracts would be based on mutual respect, strengthening of democratic and national institutions, stopping military interference in politics and restoring people's right of self-governance through fair, free and transparent elections under neutral set-up and independent election commission with effective powers.
Nawaz said "Charter of democracy envisages to establish supremacy of 1973 Constitution in the country so that rule of law can be established on strong foundations. Since 1958, military has maintained its domination over politics and out of last 48 years over 32 years have been directly under the military dictators, he added. The PML chief further said that this has destroyed the foundations of institutional governance in the country and today people have lost faith in the judicial institutions as custodians of rule of law in the country.
He emphasised that time has come that all those democratic forces which sincerely believe in restoring supremacy of 1973 Constitution in the country should join hands to uproot the dictatorship and win for the people's fundamental right of self-governance through fair and free elections.
Nawaz said, "Pakistani society in the last six years has become conflict ridden and tension among different regions and sections of the society is growing. Without social harmony there is no political stability and without political stability, the dream of economic prosperity remains illusive."
