Nestle Pakistan Ltd, has earned Rs464 million net profit for the first quarter of 2006, as against Rs421 million of same period of the year 2005, posting a rise of 10percent.
According to the results, announced by its board of directors for the quarter ended 31st March 2006, the company sales reached Rs 5.9 billion, compared with Rs 4.2 billion of the corresponding period of 2005, showing an improvement of 41-percent. Its operating profit amounted to Rs 829 million as opposed to Rs 704 million of the corresponding three months of the previous year, showing increase of 18-percent.
Similarly, the company's earning per share for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 comes to Rs 10.23 compared with Rs 9.28 of the same corresponding quarter of 2005. According to the company, it achieved record sales growth in the first quarter driven by focused sales and marketing strategies and continued focus on innovation and renovation.
The company also installed a further 225 chillers during that period to boost its ability to collect incremental good quality milk from remote areas.
