Wheat crop, spreading over 105 acres of land, has been burnt to ashes, causing Rs 2.5 million loss to the farmer in village Gukkar in the jurisdiction of Head Marala police station.
According to available information, the wheat field, belonging to one Mirza Nazir Baig, caught fire suddenly, as a result of which the whole wheat-field was burnt.
Sialkot Municipal Corporation's fire brigade rushed to the place of incident and controlled the fire. The local police have started investigation to ascertain the cause of fire.
