A renowned Pakistani scientist, Professor Dr Talat Naseer Pasha, Dean, faculty of Animal Production and Technology, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore in recognition of his landmark achievements has been elected as President Asian Buffalo Association (ABA) for four years term.
Vet varsity sources told APP here on Thursday that Dr Pasha was elected at the concluding session of 5th Asian Buffalo Congress held at Nanning, China, from April 18-22, 2006 with President of ABA, Dr Yang Bingzhuang, Director, Buffalo Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in chair. All Asian countries including India are members of ABA.
Sources said, it is an honour for the country to head this one of the most important forums which speaks of the talent of Pakistanis. Professor Pasha presented his work on the beef production potentials of Buffalo calves at this congress.
