The leaders of two major political parties of the country Benazir Bhutto of the Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) and Muhammad Nawaz Sharif of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) will have a second round of talks in London on May 14.
They will chalk out future strategy for the forthcoming elections and announce the Charter of Democracy / Code of Conduct for placing before the ARD Summit scheduled for July 2, 2006 in London.
Iqbal Zaffar Jhagra - spokesman of the Alliance for Restoration of Democracy (ARD) after meeting of ARD leadership at the residence of Munir Ahmed Khan at Allama Iqbal Town disclosed this on Sunday. ARD head Makhdoom Ameen Fahim chaired the meeting.
Nawabzada Mansur Ali Khan, Jahangir Badr, Sahibzada Fazal Karim, Syed Munir Hussain Gilani, Syed Manzoor Ali Gilani, Tehmina Doultana, Nawaz Gondal, Khan Aman Ullah Khan, Malik Mushtaq Awan, Naveed Malik and others were present on the occasion.
The ARD spokesman announced that various segments of the Alliance in their struggle for restoration of democracy would commence 'Rabta Campaign' throughout the country shortly.
Jhagra apprising of the decisions of ARD taken in the day's meeting said a number of committees to initiate links with the political groups, taking into account law and order situation, unemployment, rise in the prices of daily goods had been formed by the Alliance.
Iqbal Zaffar Jhagra averred that the meeting took very strong note of situation in Dera Bugti and displacement of large number of people in the situation therein. He said ARD in its meeting severely lamented the destruction of house of veteran Baloch Sardar Nawab Akbar Bugti, which he said due to the situation was forced to live in the mountains for more than four and half months now. He said the ARD would form a delegation to visit the camps of people affected in the Balochistan crisis.
The ARD spokesman demanded for establishing the government of national consensus.
