Habib Bank Limited (HBL) announced the appointment of Abid Sattar as Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) and Group Executive (GE) Retail banking effective from April 24, 2006, said a press release.
Abid Sattar brings with him an experience of over 23 years in Corporate & Consumer and Retail Banking, both in Pakistan as well as abroad. His last appointment was with Standard Chartered Bank Bahrain as the Regional Head of Consumer Banking for Northern Gulf and Levant. Sattar holds the distinction of being one of the pioneers in the establishment of Consumer Business in Pakistan with renowned banks such as Citibank NA, ANZ Grindlays and most recently, Standard Chartered Bank.
With Habib Bank, Abid Sattar will now lead HBL's strong network of over 1,400 branches across the country and new products and services for over five million customers.
