The Department of Electronics, Telecommunication Engineering of Mehran University of Engineering & Technology facilitated Suparco, who conducted recruitment test for fresh graduates held on May 4, 2006 at Jamshoro on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion Major Mirza Iqbal Ahmed (Retd), Group Head Inductions Department Suparco, appreciated efforts of authorities of Mehran University for enhancing University-Industry interaction.
Acting Vice Chancellor Dr M.R Sabayo, praised the efforts of Suparco for hunting the talent in fresh graduates. He further said that Telecom Laboratories of this university are recognised at world level and we are putting every effort in imparting quality education in this fast growing field of Telecommunication.
Professor Dr B S Chowdhry, Chairman Department of Electronics, Telecommunication Engineering, mentioned that as far as government telecom policy is concerned, it is very clear and based on deregulation, liberalisation and privatisation along with consistency, continuity and transparency. Here the only impediment to the growth in the Suparco sector appears to be a shortage of skilled manpower capable of meeting the market demand.
He further said that Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) has been declared hub in telecommunication technologies. On this Occasion, Shield of appreciation was presented by the Chairman Electronics and Telecommunications to the honourable guest.
