The Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, due to meet on June 1, will stick to its existing output ceiling, Iranian Oil Minister Kazem Vaziri-Hamaneh said on state television on Thursday.
"Opec will keep its current production ceiling and Iran also follows Opec policies regarding this issue," he said.
The quota for 10 Opec countries is 28 million barrels per day (bpd). In April, those 10 countries pumped 27.81 million bpd, according to a Reuters survey. Iran pumped 3.85 million bpd, compared to its quota of 4.11 million bpd.
