The rupee shed another two paisa in relation to the dollar in the interbank market on Thursday for buying and selling at 60.18 and 60.20, respectively.
The rupee shed modestly amid tight supply of dollar, dealers said. Corporate demand is high these days and it is expected that the rupee may lose slightly ahead of the budget, they said. In the world markets, the dollar moved both ways versus the leading currencies, they said.
OPEN MARKET RATES: The rupee depicted no major change versus the dollar for buying and selling at 60.40 and 60.45, dealers said.
The rupee extended its gain versus the euro for buying and selling at Rs 76.85 and Rs 76.95, dealers said.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The dollar-rupee parity remained unchanged amid sluggish trading trend in the local currency markets on Thursday.
According to the currency dealers, there was no change in dollar's demand and supply situation which helped the local currency maintain its overnight position. The dollar resumed trading at Wednesday's closing rates of Rs 60.40 and Rs 60.50 on buying and selling sides, respectively. The dollar witnessed fractional change in its worth during the day's trading but finally closed at the opening levels, the dealers added.
Moreover, the local currency showed strength against the pound sterling. The British pound was purchased at Rs 112.40 and was sold at Rs 113.00 as against Rs 113.20 and 113.50 of Wednesday, the dealers added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The rupee remained firm against the dollar at the local kerb markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Thursday.
The dollar opened at Rs 60.40 (buying) and Rs 60.50 (selling) against same last rate. It did not observe any fluctuation in the last trading hours and closed at Rs 60.40 (buying) and Rs 60.50 (selling).
Pound sterling opened at Rs 113.25 (buying) and Rs 113.50 (selling) against same last rate. The British currency did not observe any further change in the evening session and closed at Rs 113.25 (buying) and Rs 113.50 (selling).
