The Karachi Port handled 72,201 tonnes of cargo including 52,876 tonnes import, 19,325 tonnes export cargo and 3,614 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Friday.
The cargo comprised of 48,372 tonnes dry cargo including 32,023 tonnes general cargo; 3,706 tonnes sugar; 10,673 tonnes fertiliser; 1,970 tonnes cement and 23,829 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Six ships namely Iran Kordestan, Thor Captain, Hyundai Advance, Inaba, Bonasia and YM Energy sailed out to sea during the report period.
Five vessels viz Sp 5-Eric G Gibson, Stolt Tenacity, B. India, Orient Independence and African Sanderling are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely Al Fatah, Tassos-N and African Sanderling expected to sail on Friday, while two vessels viz Stolt Tenacity and MOL Kauri expected to sail on Saturday.
Six vessels viz Oriental Tulip, Corinthiakos, Yang Jiang He, Fu Yu Shan, Lynx and Feyza due to arrive on Saturday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 74,945 tonnes comprising 67,312 tonnes import and 7,633 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 822 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Friday.
The cargo comprised of 37,533 tonnes furnace oil; 13,509 tonnes iron ore; 9,203 tonnes sugar; 726 tonnes yellow peas and 13,974 tonnes containerised cargo.
Three ships namely CV London Senator, MT Al-Mukhtarah and MV Tai Pan sailed out to sea during the report period, while another ship MV Great Marry is expected to sail on Friday.
A total of five vessels viz Keefan, Maersk Berry, Jaipur, MSC Deila and China Star are currently at the outer anchorage.
Five ships namely CV Indonesia Star, CV China Star, Maersk Berry, MT Jaipur and MT Navigator Pluto due to take berths on Friday.
Edible oil vessel MV Stolt Tenacity is due to arrive on Friday, while five more ships namely CV Brainna, CV Sima Paya, MT Hartati, MT Chemroad Rose and MV C. Journey with containers, edible oil, chemicals and iron ore are due to arrive on Saturday.
