Pakistan Railways is to introduce a new 335up/336down train, namely 'Marvi Passenger' between Mirpur Khas-Khokharapar-Mirpur Khas, from 7th of June 2006.
According to an announcement made by Pakistan Railways here on Saturday, the train will comprise 9 coaches, including 8 economy class, and one brake van. According to the schedule, Marvi Passenger (335 up) will leave Mirpur Khas at 1530 hours from 7th of June and 336 down will depart from Khokharapar at 0530 hours from 8th June.
Meanwhile, a spokesman of railways said that Khanpur has been added to the network of the computerised ticketing and reservations system. Pakistan Railways, utilising the state-of-the-art fibre optics networking technology has added Rahim Yar Khan reservation office to its online network, increasing it to 21 locations. Stations that are already on the network are Nawabshah, Rohri, Khanewal, Bahawalpur, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Rahimyar Khan, Sukkur, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, National Assembly Islamabad, Lahore, Lahore Cantt, Multan, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Quetta, Hyderabad, Karachi Cantt and Karachi City.
