Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on Saturday celebrated Chicken Festival, which was participated by the families of the LCCI staff.
Decision to celebrate Chicken Festival was taken by the LCCI management in a bid to support the poultry industry and create awareness among the people that the bird flu rumours were totally false and was aired by some vested interests for their ulterior motives.
Earlier addressing the participants, LCCI President Mian Shafqat Ali, Senior Vice-Presidents Abdul Basit and Aftab Ahmad Vohra said that the festival would help remove apprehensions of the people about the chicken meat, which is a best and the cheapest way of getting protein.
