Wheat futures at the Chicago Board of Trade were narrowly mixed early on Friday in choppy consolidation trade ahead of the weekend, traders said.
Traders said Man Financial sold 300 September on the open, then scattered local buying surfaced and buoyed the market to near unchanged levels.
At 10:13 am CDT (1513 GMT), CBOT wheat was 3/4 cent per bushel higher to 2 cents lower, with July down 1/2 at $3.65 per bushel. September was up 1/2 at $3.82-3/4.
